John Griffiths
Partner and director John Griffiths FCA is a chartered accountant, and has been in professional practice since the mid-1970s. He started his professional career working with Arthur Andersen & Co for six years in Australia and London. This was followed by two years as an Executive Director with a large Australian manufacturing company, after which John moved to the medium-sized chartered accounting firm, Elliotts Partners. He remained with Elliotts for 21 years, working in both their Brisbane and Toowoomba offices.
In recent years, John has specialised in commercial, business and taxation planning. He also advises individuals and business entities wishing to relocate to Australia on migration issues, working closely with his network of international referral sources, which includes migration agents and immigration lawyers.
John travels regularly within Australia to provide service to clients, and also visits the UK at least twice a year. |

Ian Harris
Partner in the Melbourne office, Ian is a chartered accountant
with over 30 years experience in practice. He started his
career in Sydney in 1969 with Holt&Thompson (a forerunner
to Grant Thornton) before taking up a position with Coopers
and Lybrand in Melbourne as Assistant to the Staff Training
Manager. He moved to Armidale in 1974 to join Murray and
Allen where he became a partner. In 1986 he formed his own
practice specialising in farmers and small businesses. He
moved to Melbourne in 2000 and is presently a partner in
Davenports.
Ian's interests are in the fields of small business, business development and business planning and strategy. |

Michael Driver
Michael qualified in 1986 and has held a number of senior
posts in regional UK accountancy & tax practices.
In 1989 he set up his own practice which has flourished
into the existing business of Michael Martin Partnership
Ltd, Chartered Certified Accountants, Business Advisers
based in England where he is the Senior Partner The practice
holds Registered Auditors status for both the UK and Ireland.
He has recently become a member of the ACCA in Australia.
The UK practice has a broad & varied client base, Michael regularly advises UK & Overseas clients on corporate & personal tax matters, particularly in the areas of UK Capital Taxes, Trusts and cross border taxation.
Apart from taxation, Michael enjoys advising the SME/OMB in business strategies & growth plans using a wide range of tools & experience.
Business clients have ranged from the shop keeper to quoted Plc’s on the London Stock Market as well as UK subsidiaries of overseas quoted companies. The Personal clients range from the Pensioner through to Directors of International Plc’s.
He regularly travels to the USA & Australia to meet with clients. |
