Information on Claims Reporting Procedures

It is extremely important that you report promptly on any fire, accident, theft, malicious damage or injury which may lead to an insurance claim.

Prompt notification will contribute towards achieving a speedy settlement from the insurance company.

Of equal importance is the provision of as much detail as possible when reporting accidents or losses on the claim form.

Reporting

All claims (except Workcover or Worker’s Compensation) are to be advised to Gateway Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd.

Written confirmation and claim forms are to be submitted as soon as possible thereafter.

Appointment of assessors and authority to proceed with repairs etc. will be arranged by Gateway Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd after liaising with the relevant Insurer.

Motor Vehicle Claims

For any claim by a Third Party to be considered, it must be produced in writing by the claimant and be supported by fully detailed written estimates of the repair costs.

The claim form is to be lodged with Gateway Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd, together with two quotations for repairs.

Liability Insurance

In the event of a Third Party advising of personal injury or damage to property resulting from your business activities or products, full details should be taken, but under no circumstances should liability be admitted.

Should any delay occur in relation to the claims settlement process, or in the event of any other difficulty, please contact Gateway Insurance Solutions Pty Ltd.

Burglary, Theft of Money or Lost Property

On discovery, any losses should be immediately advised to the nearest Police Station.

In addition to normal procedures, a Letter of Claim should be lodged on the Carrier and a copy of this forwarded to us, together with:

• Delivery Receipt
• Invoices
• Any other relevant information or documents.
